Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (PSP) question!?

So I leveled up my Cosmic Blade in the Item World up to level 30 and killed the item king. After that i can't enter the item world for that sword anymore. How do i get to the item god if i'm stuck at level 30? Is 30 the limit or what?? Help please.
